Matilda and Karl Pfeiffer Museum
This early 1930s home is located on 11 acres of natural gardens. The museum houses the Matilda Pfeiffer gem and mineral collection from around the world, Native American artifacts, and an extensive library. Scenes from A Face in the Crowd, the 1957 movie starring Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal, were filmed on site. TThe grounds have evolved from the grasslands of a former dairy to a preserve of native Arkansas plants.
