CrossHeirs Retreat

CrossHeirs Retreat Center is a non-profit ministry dedicated to inspiring, encouraging and motivating churches, ministries & families with a comfortable and engaging venue for them to teach, train and retreat. Big Jim’s Lodge is the centerpiece of CrossHeirs. The 14,000-square-foot facility was built in 1999 as a duck hunting lodge. Once dubbed by the Wall Street Journal as “The Taj Mahal of Duck Hunting,” Big Jim’s is now dedicated to helping you fulfill your ministry.

Sitting on a secluded peninsula amidst a 280-acre farm in Arkansas County, the retreat center is the ideal location for your next church, corporate, or ministry retreat. It is set adjacent to the beautiful Bayou Meto Wildlife Management Area. The retreat center provides both conference and retreat facilities, as well as a peaceful secluded location to “get away from it all.”

CrossHeirs is also a popular wedding venue.  The lodge has ample space for overnight guests, socializing, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and other activities.  Each of the 16 guest rooms has two queen beds and a private bath.  Guests can bring their own caterers, or CrossHeirs can prepare the rehearsal dinner in their large in-house commercial kitchen.  There are beautiful settings for the ceremony itself both inside and outside.
